A combination of wandering about Europe for a week and getting loads of gaming work done has kept me from posting for a bit, but I’ve cleared my desk now and will be rather more active over the coming days.
Big news is obviously the official unveiling of DreadBall on the Kickstarter. That’s quite exciting. Got come stuff to post on that.
I’ll also be going back through the site and making sure I’ve dealt with any outstanding questions or comments and generally try and have a bit of a tidy up. This site takes a lot of time to do, but makes no money, so tends to get bumped further down the list than I’d like. This is bound to be my fault, so I’m making an effort to be more consistent and post more because I enjoy our conversations. We’ll see how I do.
Here I was, thinking I could make it till the end of the year without any further big game purchases… then DreadBall appeared on Kickstarter. Damnit, Thornton! (By which I mean thank you)
I look forward to seeing how big this gets, and how much we get for our donations.
You’re welcome 🙂
I suppose how much you’ll get depends on how many stretch goals are reached. And that, as they say, is down to you guys. The better it does, the more everyone gets. At least, that’s how I think KS works.
So if you want more for your money then get all your mates to pledge too!
Part of my hopes that this gets as big as KoW and Sedition Wars did, but I won’t be (too) disappointed if it doesn’t.
And, yes, my mates are all getting on board. Even the one who’s getting married in a month or so.
I also have a forthcoming wedding plus no income for a year so I’m having to sit this one on the bench. Personally I’m hoping they make no stretch goals so I don’t cry over how much cool stuff I missed lol
One of the cool side effects of Kickstarter is that it helps to generate an instant community because loads of people know about it and then all get their game at the same time. This is particularly good for a game which includes league play, as DB does.
More games! I’m assuming you can’t talk about them yet?
You would be guessing correctly.
Nice that you’re back. This is a great blogg and we constantly want new updates. Regardiung dreadball, I haven’t seen any information on the actual gameplay anywhere on the net, no demos, no real explanations or walkthroughs. Anyone got a link to share?

Besides the info on the Mantic Blog and Kickstarter there is not much on the internet.
There’s a fair amount here:

Thx, exactly what I was looking for 🙂
