    Jake,

Love the interview… when you say the DBX teams will need re jigging for DBO, does that mean the Convicts might lose thier explosive collars for the stadium version?

I hope not… it is kind of the character for the team. Perhaps it could be justified as showmanship… He just blew up… but did he really?

      Thanks sideofiron.

The re-jigging is because some of the rules aren’t the same. So, for example, if the basic version of the Convict team is listed as having a certain number of Nasty Surprise cards then that doesn’t mean anything in normal DB. Either there needs to be a standard way of translating that, or a slightly tweaked listing.

As far as possible I’ll be keeping them the same.

        Thanks…
I guess I’m concerned that explosive collars and mid game expenditures are not native to DBO and might need to be dropped.
I understand they may need to go, but in the interests of sadistic amusement, please try to keep them.

I assume there’s also subtle issues such as the fact that Jacks aren’t going to be quite as good back in regular Dreadball and the inability to Dash reduces the use of, say, Backstab.

It’ll be fascinating to compare all the teams in both games when all is said and done.

        • Quirkworthy's avatar Quirkworthy says:

The overall utility of all players will change simply because of the relative ease of movement around the board, Slams and strikes. Lots of subtle differences makes for quite a lot of variance overall.

Just uploaded a two part gameplay vid on my channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AGodCkX5jk

apart from fan checks, the blatant cocked up armour roll at the start and forgetting who was nobbled I think I captured the spirit, have a look and leave a comment, like or a subscription if you’re feeling extra nice
