One last bit of detail to add about the robots and I think I’m done. That’s why I’ve been AWOL lately, well that and the new exciting (and distracting) project for Mantic which follows hot on the heels and which I’ll be dropping straight into.
Season 2 is looking good though. Have you seen the cover art? Very pretty.
Almost like you’re there 🙂
I do really like the cover art, I wish Mantic would do an art print add-on for this! Any chance you will be doing any sneaky peak reveals in the lead up to the big release?
I’ve entirely forgotten what you guys already know, so I’ve got to work out what you don’t know before I can reveal it. If you see what I mean…
We all already know what the new Mantic project is so you might as well speak openly about it and remind us of all the details 😉
“Remind”?
My cunning plan to get you to open up on all the details of the project has failed lol.
I’m sure it won’t be long. Not really talked about S2 yet 😉
I already know stuff about S2 that I shouldn’t thanks to my admin log-in on the Mantic forums. Similar to yourself I can’t remember what I should and shouldn’t know so I’ve refrained from discussing it anywhere.
Not talking about stuff is relatively easy, but remembering what it was that you weren’t supposed to talk about in the first place is ever more tricky.
Oooh, come on, tell us something about the new teams, pretty please? (stats, skills, the cool stuff ;))
I’ve got a meeting with Ronnie later and I’ll ask him if there’s anything I can’t talk about yet. That’ll make it much less confusing for me 🙂
Anything you can share will be appreciated! When you are able to talk about it, I’d be interested in hearing how the differing play styles for the new teams developed. You had mentioned a ways back needing to make a change to the Judwan to make them more fun to play, stuff like that would be neat to hear more about.
I’ll see what I can do.
How would you go about numbering the ‘bots?
What about numbering the bases and magnetizing the miniatures?
That’s one idea. Another thought was to have a little disk with a number on (like the ones the players have on their backs) that you could put on the base. As the player transforms, just keep the number and swap out the model. That would mean that you’d only need 6 of any role, max. Even then you’d be very unlikely to ever need that many.
Of course, some people are bound to get a model for each player in each role. You know how gamers are. That’s not what I’d expect most people to do though.
Incidentally, I saw the painted models for the first time this afternoon and they look really cool. Possibly my favourite of the new team paint jobs.
So, what are you allowed to tell us?
All sorts of things 🙂
I’ll do a short series of bits, starting today. Just need to decide where to start.
Sounds good,
May i suggest something robot related 🙂
