Well I tried having fixed days for specific types of post and it just ain’t me. I’ve almost certainly missed more than I’ve hit, so that’s not a plan I’m going to pretend to adhere to any more. Instead, I’ll try something else: posting something every day. “How on Earth can that be any easier?”, I hear you cry. Well the change of plan does two helpful things:
1) It’s the same all the time.
2) it’s not restrictive.
Good ideas rarely happen to a specific schedule and so I’ve typically been thinking of three things for next tuesday’s post and nothing for today. If I take the subject restrictions away then I just put up whatever’s on my mind and I’d like to talk about. That sounds way easier.
I’m sure I’ll miss the odd day when real life gets in the way. However, I’m also sure that I’ll miss less than I did of this last plan, so it’s a step in the right direction π
I approve. Planning gets in the way. π
I thought the original plan had broken down within a week.
I also fully expect this plan to last a week.
Good luck though.
Ye of little faith…
The old plan worked, fell over, staggered back to its feet, spluttered, recovered, fizzled and so on. I kept having to resurrect it and though it worked in fits and starts it always struggled.
I didn’t want to mention a new plan till I’d given it a try with live ammo. The post you’re commenting on is day 11 in a row so the new plan has already managed a week π
I find it a lot easier. We’ll see how I go though.
Well if you’re short of something to talk about, I love hearing stories about the old days at GW and White Dwarf. Doesn’t have to be controversial, just some interesting anecdotes would do. What was your favourite game to play? What was your favourite to design etc. etc.
I was obsessed with it at the time, so would be interesting to hear the background of it all.
I’ll see what I can think of.
Im looking forward to it π
I would like to hear about the dread ball bugs π anything …
You mean these ones: https://quirkworthy.com/2013/03/25/dreadball-season-2-design-theory-bugs/
