Just posted an initial version of the FAQ doc on the DS FAQ page. It’s only got a couple of questions so far (on Uncharted Dungeons), but it’s a start. I’ve actually answered more than this, I just need to collate them all into this file.
As ever, please ask any more game questions on the appropriate FAQ page.
Cheers
Thanks Jake, love this game! Keep up the good work!
btw, I forgot to ask, do you know if the Adventure’s Companion Errata will be incorporated into the re-prints that Mantic are doing? I know the community would be very keen for this to happen so if there’s anything you can do to pull some strings that would be awesome.
No the reprint is just the second version pdf they had in the update from last friday. They have already ordered reprints for retail and preorder that is why no improvement to the texts are being made.
They’ll probably use whatever errata is known when they do a reprint.
I hope the lesson will be learnt when it comes to Deadzone Infestation ! The rulebook will need heavy proofread to avoid the mess we have with DS…
Jake, will it be possible for you to ask a copy of the final document before it goes to printing to check the work of Mantic ?
I’m still waiting for the Beta version to be ready for you guys to pick through 🙂
Can’t wait ! It’s a shame we didn’t had this opportunity with Dungeon Saga.
hi, i´m sorry to say this. but that is a joke 🙂 4 questions answerd…. that will not convince me to buy the game sorry
Seb he does say only a few questions are answered on the doc and he has more answers to put on, stay tuned
Yup, plenty more to come. It takes time to do it properly though. Yesterday I re-read all the emails between myself and Mantic over 6 months, checking something for one of the questions. At the end of the process the answer will typically take 5 minutes to write. It’s the background stuff that takes all the time.
Wow, Mantics on a roll. Already a bunch of unhappy DS backers and they decide to annoy the Deadzone ones also. Not sure what Ronnie is thinking getting involved and admitting it with Dust Tactics people as those names are mud on kickstarter.
Sorry, what’s he done wrong with DZR?
They just swapped a bunch of resin and metal things to DS style plastic.
we dont know 100% it is DS style plastic, it chould still be HPIs
From the Update:
Many of the miniatures on this Kickstarter are metal or resin, but having received the prints of some of the figures after they’d been sculpted… we think putting them in plastic is the best way to do them justice – particularly when some of them, like the Piper, have such fine (read: breakable) details, or are big and chunky (read: heavy and would require pinning) like the Plague Aberration!
These plastic miniatures are being made by Dust Studios, the manufacturer behind the Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare games, and the great miniatures in Dungeon Saga.

Not a good sign that they are hard plastic style products.
Ah, OK. I see.
Confirmed on the Facebook page as DS style plastic. Reaper sells the same models in metal and their bones line. Price difference is usually a factor of 3. Reapers PVC ogre sized models go at about 4 dollars retail while Mantic was selling the metal ogre with minigun for 10 kickstarter. Seems like a pretty sweat switch for mantic cost wise.
